I hate IMing for this exact reason. I feel like grammar and correct spelling has been lost to the ages. Something that should be commonplace like proper English now makes a person look uptight or smart. What has the world come to?

BTW, notice how when people started to chat like that online, AOL usage declined. Wonder if there was a connection. I know I cancled when chat rooms became less entertaining due to this behavior.
