Read his authorized biography by Dimbleby and it's all made perfectly clear.  Personally, I was revolted by Cowmilla taking Diana's place at William's wedding. She didn't need to be posed as the "mother of groom" just because she has semi-legally married her adulterous lover.

@italoluder First there is no need to be smart arse, were we never taught the basics of polite conversation? As Baroness Thatcher said "I always cheer up immensely if an attack is particularly wounding because I think, well, if they attack one personally, it means they have not a single legitimate argument left". Secondly no I was not present at Clarence House nor did I claim to be, the late Princess of Wales confided in her sister Lady Sarah McCorquodale about riding about on the bike!
