I'll once in a while find a box of black talons at a gun show and the vendors will want anywhere from 50 to 100 bucks for them. Someone told me that they were banned under Clinton.

yup, on that second part. Winchester voluntarily pulled the talons from the market. I've seen some that were shot at water, those things look like a freakin starfish after they hit someone

JHP's are meant to cause internal shock and maximum damage,in other words meant to kill.when you use a FMJ its meant to penetrate and that wont put people down the first shot. and the black talons got there name from the sharp, claw looking ends when the round mushrooms and they discontinued the product because it was considered overkill. i have 15 boxes of these rounds in 45.acp and ive seen the bullets mushroom.

dude did you review this before you posted it? The sound quality is crap... get away from the freeway! Each time you pick up a round you don't show it to the camera... and even if you did I doubt if we could see it. I can't even read the design of the ammo boxes. Video Score = 0 Audio Score = 0
Are we civilians allowed to carry the Talon
rounds?

Rumor: Black talons were designed to penetrate body armor...........FALSE.......Hollow points are inherently impotent against armor. The "deep penetrator" term found on the box is in reference to the bullet's ability to deeply penetrate body tissue, which some JHPs have shortcomings in doing. It has nothing to do with body armor.
Rumor: Black Talons are illegal.......FALSE!.........They have NEVER been subject to any legal restrictions in the US not shared by any other pistol round.

If you are going to whine and complain about something like a 5 year old, at least make it something more relevant then the camera quality.
