Can you please tell me how about the VIN number that was previously stamped onto your frame. You are re-stamping it ?

Damn that Toyota is sexy! I hope it doesn't have brake, accelator problems though! jk jk

Hmmm My two cars both have unibody construction so I couldn't have a new frame even if I wanted one without replacing the entire car :)

sunny5701, hi there, I don't believe that trucks have vins on the frame, they do have vins on the engine and the body and of course along the top of the dash right by the wind shield. My toyota has dual vins because the engine is from my old rig, but it is registered as the vin on the body. Police are really into running the vins on old cars, at leat in PA and VT, I know they run my vins at a stop.

Frames both add integrity and weight to a vehicle. My 1964 dart is a unibody- they are lighter and probably lower the cost of manufacture= cheaper wheels. BTW, a new base 4x4 toyota truck will run you 19k, yet a toyota car will cost the same- go figure?
