Why, on double crochet, do you skip 3 before starting? What if you only skip 2?

Yea Thank you for the Tutorials. Ive been wanting to learn how to Crochet for a long time now. I can use the Looms. But I want to Step Up. It'd be cool if you have How to Knit for Left Handed people also. My Dad does not believe me when I say its different for us.

These videos are exceptional!!!!! I never been able to learn to crochet until now. Because I am a lefty who had a bad experience trying to learn to crochet as a young girl, I have stayed away from the books and classes. In watching your video, you made it so simple. You show the method (pattern) and the practice. In one afternoon, I learn how to create a chain, make a single crochet, and make a double crochet. Thank you so much, Theresa. thank you so much i have always want to crochet since i was 20's but couldnt do anything else but single rows!!!!! since i am lefty and no one in my family can try teach me with lefty i keep get so confuse when they do with right handed... now I found this THANK YOU SO MUCH THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! i subscribed to your site on you tube!!!
