@RedDragon033195 Besides, justice and mercy go more hand-in-hand so isn't really a duality, now are they?

@RedDragon033195 Frankly, that's a habit I try not to get into. I'm not one for taking the word of someone who can't even bother to read their own Book.

@Anonywriter if you talk to most Christians, justice and mercy is the more agreeable one.

@RedDragon033195 Actually, I believe YHVH's duality was law and vengeance.

@WowUrFcknHxC lots of deities have a polar duality. Dionysus has a duality of compassion and rage, two things found in drunkeness. Bastet has a duality of fertility and war too, like astarte. the god and goddess are both a duality of the same deity. Loki was said to play tricks that are both hurtful, and tricks that are humorous. in Christian mythology, God was said to have a duality of justice and mercy. there are endless examples throughout the pagan world.

@RedDragon033195 okies. that makes sense... one thing i don't understand about astarte is she is the goddess of sexuality and fertility.... and war?! that's an... odd combination...

@WowUrFcknHxC the only Goddess that her major sphere of influence is Magick would be Hekate. Isis might be because spellcraft was pretty much invented in Egypt. however is suppose all gods and goddesses are of magick because magick is just divine kenetic energy.

@RedDragon033195 lol. that's what i meant to say >.>. but they are all goddesses of magic (of some sort) in their respective religions right?

@WowUrFcknHxC Hekate can be looked at one of two ways: as a maiden, mother and crone, or just as the Goddess of the crossroads, death, and the underworld. so she is mostly crone. Diana can either be greek maiden gaurdian of youth or wiccan primeval deity. kali... really? she is obviously crone with her association with destruction. astarte was equated with aphrodite by the greeks, goddess of love. usually goddesses of love and sex are maidens, and aphrodite is definetly maiden.
