I ought to emphasis that even many critics say that many of the low budget regional movies in India stand neck to neck with the billion dollar hollywood ventures!! I remember the fact that few years ago,I read an article in famous journal called THE MIRROR.. they have mentioned,"As far as producing quality movies in an amazingly less budget is concerned,Hollywood fraternity is nowhere near the South Asian film industries,especially India"

@sm1005 Briliance is in the eyes of the beholder.. And yes,I've seen plenty like you who keep licking hollywood candies!! I have heard enough of western movie praise songs!! I have had enough of hollywood devoties.. Gosh,they have coined a words called "hollywood standards"!! What do you people refer by hollywood standards?? its just a myth.. And you gave me a blah blah list of movies..well,yeah!! I never said that hollywood does'nt produce good flicks.. its you who keep mocking Indian cinema!

@iamgany just because it needs to be fun and dance and its popular doesnt mean its great cinema, the point was copying holly movies or actors dont make indian movies great as holly performances specially character acting roles will move you as they are so real that the actors wil live the role, not saying tht there r no gems in india , naseerudin shah true great, chandni bar and astitva, swades great films and acting good as holly in the first two, and rightly won national awards

@iamgany movies in india r more realistic are they so bolly masala chick flicks and love triangles r great then, 3rd world countries make great films based on public demand and majority loves medicor stuff, i wont say i belong to the elite crowd but to even compare holly to movies in india in realism is a bit silly, so movies like blood diamond, last king of scotland, hurt locker , dead man walking are not real enough for u and all films nominated or won oscars for what then dance and music.

@sm1005 Awww.. I don't really understand whats there wid hollywood bucks!! Those timesly lip-locks,whispering dialogues,transjant scripts!! Gosh,its jus acting nd I hav a lot of friends abroad..they say that there is NO LINK btwn what they show in a holly movie & their real life.. thy say tat thy totally cnt connect things!! what they do is just go & hav a nice time in theatre.. but in that perspective,I would say that movies here r mch realistic(excpt few absurd commercial gimmicks)!!

@iamgany great argument again, personal comments about what i am or wht i am not doesnt make any sense, one doesnt have to be a hollywood critic to say which film or which actor was better, all u need for that is what u and i both have eyes.

an average hollywood wouldnt call that film a greatest film or acting but they would all agree it is million times better than just pure imitation of a great actor.
