Coaching Points: 1. Midfield three create space so the two opponents cannot cover you easily 2. Angles of support for midfielder as the ball is played to them - use the numerical advantage (defenders should take up good supporting positions through depth also) 3. Be patient building up the play - if the ball cannot go forward, pass and move to a supporting position 4. When the ball is played to the forward, support quickly, leaving one player to 'hold' (defend) just in case possession is lost - we don't want all three central midfielders caught ahead of the ball.
