hahaha, Lupul's staying in Philly. He just signed a contract extension that kicks in next season.
As for the cap, the Flyers have waived Lasse Kukkonen, who cleared waivers...we can send him down to the Phantoms which takes his 875,000 cap hit off. Then, we'll probably remove Upshall (1.225) and Alberts (1.250). However, Holmgren may choose to trade Knuble because he's a 2.8 cap hit and we have 2 players (Giroux and vanRiemsdyke) who will be ready to jump up to the NHL next season.

oh ok cool. Yea, I like watching him play. He's been a pleasant surprise and has proved valuable given that the Flyers have spent all season without Randy Jones and Ryan Parent on defense.

The Flyers must have seen something in Sbisa that they didn't see in Brandon Burlon. Who knows, maybe Burlon is more suited for a defensive-minded team like the Devils?
The Flyers went with what they thought was their best fit, and they think it's Sbisa...time will tell whether that choice was a wise one.
If the Flyers had a higher first round pick, they would have gotten a better defenseman, but they would've had to trade a lot to get it...they'll have to live with what they got.
