  • Respect!!! it looks nice..good work!!

    Only the window is different?

    what for engine(turbine) is inside?

    Pls tell the differents!

  • @Falke40lg There are many differences from the original aircraft, mostly modern instruments and internals. The engines are CJ-610s, which are found on learjets.

  • Interesting aircraft an quite the accomplishment to get her flying. What was the chase plane, BTW? Socata Trinidad?

  • @ThinkingManNeil The chase plane is a Swearingen Sx-300 capable of 275 knots. She did alright following the jet with the gear down, but as soon as they retract them it'll leave the SX.

  • Throw a Stuka siren on that Me-262, and randomly dive-bomb unsuspecting motorists on the freeways >:D

  • Nice. Damn near makes me wet.

Uh...the shadows under the plane say it's later than 4:02 AM....

    Just sayin'...

  • @andgate2000

It had two landing gear collapses as I understand it, once under testing and another later. It's been under repairs and close inspection. The Collings Foundation was wanting FAA permission for limited passenger flights, so it's a fair assumption that all systems are being checked and re-checked.

  • Is this "white one"....forgive my ignorance....but why the 5 year overhaul so soon after being built??.

  • i think the take off video starts @ 7:25

  • Jets stay more funtionle longer than airplanes do.By the way nice video dude:)

  • WOW.. love the sound on that.... Awesome video thanks for posting!

  • Congratulations! That was a lot of work over a long period of time.

  • @airplaneboy10 Ahhh, right! OK! I remember those being offered in kit-form back in the late 80's and early 90's; first time I've seen one flown. 275 kts is pretty impressive for a non-turboprop.
