What part of this song is talking about women shaking there "booty". I heard this same argument from another brother in the church. I don't know who is spreading this as facts but I don't see why someone would spread untruths about hiphop.

Hip Hop was defined by the Sugar Hill Gang's Rappers Delight. "Hip hop the hippie to the hippie to the hip hip hop..." they were speaking of the womens butts were shaking. if hip hop means "booty shaking" what is Holy Hip Hop? Gods hand on the youth- as TD Jakes calls it- is "booty shaking"??
Hip hop is a culture that we cannot embrace. theres Gospel Rap, and Holy Hip Hop. we cannot embrace the hip hop culture but we can still rap for Jesus Christ

That's not the same as making fun out of something and you don't need a church to get saved. You didn't answer the gangster question. You first said hiphop wasn't a (sub)culture and now you do. An older name for holy or christian hiphop is Gospel Rap. I didn't see any booty shaking in this video.
(BTW, i didn't like the "one part hiphop, one part holy" line either).

The church is a place to get saved by God and to worship God and Hip Hop is an evil culture which is pretty much a consequence for doing EVIL. And when they try to turn an evil culture into the house of God then that's making fun of God

I appreciate your concern for holiness but it's a bit misguided. To say that all of hip-hop is evil is just wrong. Surely it has been used for evil but that's not all it's about. You don't believe me just ask around to people that have been ministered to by Holy Hip Hop music. If God can't take something that was evil and use it for good he couldn't even use you (Rom 3:23).
