Voices in El Silencio

This video is based on the project "Learning environments for one-teacher schools" implemented by the Innov@ Institute of the Omar Dengo Foundation and the National Program of Educational Informatics MEP-FOD and that received support from the Media Lab of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The video documents Claudia Urrea Ph.D. Dissertation for the "Create Project: Combining Revised Education Approaches and Technology Environments".

This project was supported by the CR-USA Foundation, the Omar Dengo Foundation and the Ministry of Public Education of Costa Rica. "Voices in El Silencio" was produced thanks to the support of the Education Unit of the Inter- American Development Bank (IADB).

But, these video was filmed in the El silencio School. Then, bellow subtitles said "Yolanda Peraza School" and the correct is: El Silencio School, Tilarán, Guanacaste, Costa Rica.

This project was Claudia Urrea's PhD thesis. She designed and implemented the work with the teacher at the students from El Silencio.

Claudia and other people from the learning team at Media Lab were deeply involved with this initiative.
