I wrote this sitting on a bluff over the beach at Jenner. We are all just waves on the water. We wash ashore for a while and then we drift back out to sea....

Waves on the water
Rolling rolling o'er the ocean
Wash on a shore then drift away

High tide waves forgotten dreams of a shore so far away
High tide dreams of tomorrow waves on a shore so far away

The captain cried oh my brothers and sisters
I am afraid we've lost our way
Aye said the mate we're a long time drifting
Over waters so strange and far from our home

Gingerjake2 - Betty and I have been singing together for over 35 years and I have been playing with both Stan and Betty for at least the last couple of decades. We all especially love this song. How does Stan write a song that sounds like it's been around for 200 years? Mike
