This is an updated, HD version, of Hearing Test first released back in 2007. Several improvements have been incorporated based on many users' comments.
Set your sound volume as if you were watching any other YouTube video. Watch Hearing Test 2 video and listen to sound very carefully using headphones. The video displays audio frequencies that are being played. By watching it, you can determine what you can and cannot hear.
Typically, depending strongly on age, audible frequencies will be between 20-50 Hz on the low side of the audio spectrum, and 11-16 kHz on the high side of the audio spectrum. The audio strength in the video is kept constant for all frequencies. This corresponds to a maximum loudness around 2-3kHz, that you should notice.
The Hearing Test 2 length is exactly 5min, after that, the signal volume is quickly decreased to zero. Can you hear that?
There are individuals who can hear the whole audio spectrum between 16 Hz and 20 kHz. This test, however, does not go above 16kHz.
