Strike are a British dance band formed in 1994 consisting of Matt Cantor, Andy Gardner and the vocalist Victoria Newton.

Strike formed towards the end of 1994. A chance vocal session for Victoria Newton at the studios of Fresh Records in Ladbroke Grove, landed her the role as the lead singer.

Strike's first non-charting single was "Formula One". They did not break through until "U Sure Do" was released in December 1994 originally charting at number 31 in the UK Singles Chart, only to re-enter the chart and climb to number 4 in April 1995. This was likely due to the track's being an instantaneous monster of a club hit. They then began to tour extensively, appearing on television programs such as Top of the Pops, Deal or no Deal and MTV and playing to audiences as large as 70,000. "U Sure Do" achieved chart success in many territories and this took the band to Spain, Italy, Denmark, Norway, Holland, Germany and Japan.

Strike went on to produce another four UK Top 40 hits and a critically acclaimed album I Saw the Future released in 1997 on Fresh Records. They toured with and supported many international artists including the Backstreet Boys, Jocelyn Brown and the Spice Girls.

The original vob file I have for this is low resolution and the video is intentionally made with strange 'noise' effects. This is NOT surface noise that you get with most videos. They made it this way as a 'special effect' and it runs throughout the entire video. What I have done is remove completely all DVD fizz and surface noise to leave the video clean. This has enhanced video detail, lighting and color. Sharpening was also performed when I scaled this to HD resolution. The results are great compared to the source.

Audio for this video sucked big time. It was so off I had to remaster it totally. Most of the sound was coming out of the right channel and it was dull and lifeless. I had to pick it apart totally and remix the channels with adjusted panning, stereo field, equalization and just about everything else you can think of. A total remaster. It sounds completely groovy now and much better than what comes with the video release as standard. Even the mp3 I have for this has the same faults and it came from the CD. They should have done it this way in the studio. It would have been a lot better.
