In the first place, it's a crime when anyone in this wealthy country goes hungry. Second, it's a larger crime when any politician suggests that hungry people, and specifically children, are somehow to blame for their own misery. What's at the heart of this is her hatred and prejudice for poor people, especially poor people with skin color darker than hers. Does she really believe that these poor kids would let themselves go hungry if they could find a way to eat? No; she's just full of hate.

Amazing that in the middle of the biggest recession since the 30's this person [I use the term losely] with millions now unemployed would try and kill a program that works. Most people who use such programs are in areas were unemployment was already high before Bush and Co messed things up. So its hard for those 16 year olds or people of any age to get jobs that aren't there. Its a fact that children who don't eat proper meals learn less and have more mental developmental issues.
