DISPUTED LYRICS:
I do not have the CD jacket for this song, and despite my best listening and research, I've found some lyrics are disputed. The lyrics portrayed in the video are a result of my best listening. Here are the disagreements I am aware of:
- "Feel no shame for what you [were]." Some sources have "are" on the sixth iteration at 0:47 - I hear "were" in this track.
- "As the marrow in your bones." The most-disputed lyric; I have seen "As you now are in your blood/bones/heart." This track is clearly "bones," by my ear - but for me the words "As the marrow" make sense poetically moreso than "As you now."
- "Dance/Dancing." Most sources have "Dancing" during both repititions - I hear "Dance" in the first, "Dancing" in the second.
- "Run past [the] funeral." Some sources have "your funeral." For me, "the" seems to make more sense, and appears to be what is sung.
- "Here under the stars / Throwing light." Some sources have "You and the stars," or "You under the stars."
- "Grow in light." Some sources do not include this final line.
