I did my senoir thesis on the War of 1812, and I was pretty sure it was the British, sailing from Bermuda under Robert Ross, who burned it.

I think it's quite dishonest that you say both the USA and the UK failed, and then rebrand UK forces to Canadian when you want someone to not have failed.

Incidentally, this is 1812. England had long since ceased to exist as a single state. You're talking about the United Kingdom by this point.

Because it makes the USA vs UK sit at one all, and the UK took in slaves as refugees. Thats awkward because the question becomes if in 1812 the UK was thinking this, what was its position on slavery when the slave holders like Washington lead a rebellion?
