I ordered MJ, used my debit card. MJ Promises 30 day free trial before charging your card, I was charged three days after I ordered it. My area code was not available meaing any local friend or family would be charged toll fees. After 4 days, I returned it and never got my refund...First impressions are lasting impressions...I have had Vonage for 6 eyars, and have NEVER had a single issue with it...that's worth the extra cost.

Sorry to hear it didn't work for you. My guess is that they charge your cc first then if you cancel within 30 days, they SHOULD refund you. But in your case sounds like they didn't refund. Sometimes it's hard to get a refund for cheap products/service. For $20/yr I don't expect to receive any customer support for Magicjack quite honestly. However for the monthly fee that charge you for vonage, they better give you good live customer support. =)

NET TALK is better it works even without a computer so you can leave it on 24/7

Hmm.. i just looked up the Net Talk and it does seem like a good device. Thanks for the heads up. I suppose the drawback is that you must have a router - but at the same time you don't plug this nettalk into a computer that must be turned on. I guess when I travel to China I now have to make some room for a router in my bag, but not that big of a deal.

you can plug it direct to the modem...or if you are outside and dependent on wifi, you can also plug it to the usb....very flexible

oh nice you're right. i see the promo is currently a one time fee of $99 for life. that's a good deal there. even w/out the promo at $99 per 3 years... it's not bad too. looks like magic jack has some huge competition.
