Yes this is John Williams' transcription.

I'm looking everywhere for a copy of the sheet music for this. If anyone has it I'll do a swap for a rare transcription of the Allegretto from beethovens' 7th.

beautiful version though I still prefer the violines etc.

Fantastic!

So far I know that John Williams arranged this for his historic duet with Julian Bream. I also remember to have seen the first page and Williams's name on it.
I have listened Bream-Williams version many times and I like it very much but I have to say that this version is very good too! I have enjoyed listening and will have my duo partner checking the score to include it in our repertoire.
Congratulations to Zohn-Franzen.

I dunno. It's no less "stringy" than a piano, and Brahms himself made a transcription for piano solo. It's a real finger breaker, too, requires a huge span to pull off.
Does anyone know who did this transcription for two guitars? The performers, or someone else? While it's pleasant listening, it seems a little disappointing as they seem to have ditched some of the contrapuntal lines in some of the variations.

Let's have more of the great composers on guitar!

The transcription is easily available through GSP.
