the guitar has no truss rod so in order to keep it playable for a long time I tune it down a minor third (D#-C#-B-E-G#-D#, low to high) hence, the tension on the neck is also not near as much.. I use phospher bronze .13's in order to retain a thicker tone.. the guitar has this earthy funkiness about it and natural "ring" that is hard to describe, especially when I snap the strings.. btw, a lot of my sound comes from my hands... thanks for your kind words... :-)

as it states in my video description, it is an old Harmony archtop... the model number is: F-44... according to what I've found out researching the guitar it is from 1944... Harmony apparently used the same year in the model number... I hand sanded the guitar down to the bare wood, shaved the back of the neck down to suit my left hand, had a friend of one of my guitar students put a satin finish on it, and then had a talented young man refret it and add the wood saddle and bridge.. what kind and yaer is the guitar you are playing I just bought one that looks like this but looks like someone may have added a pickup that is now gone. But has a clean body with no cracks. Can you give me some info on these guitars. Love the sound your guitar has .. thanks Cal
