no dude, the biggest storm Aruba had seen in 10 years was back in september 2004, when hurrican Ivan passed well to the north of the island bringing heavy rainfall and thunderstorm which caused flooding in many parts of the island.

All the staff at the hotel had told us that was the most rain they had seen on the island in 10 years...8 inches of rain fell in less than 24h.
