And thanks Nigel for not choosing to do anything else than playing the violin. You would certainly have been a great surgeon, pilot or tennisplayer, but you chose the music - and for that the world is richer.

And, likewise, the honor is mine that you took the time and wrote this to me. It is hard to express feelings strong enough about Kennedys Vivaldi - to listen to this movement makes me feel like a leaf dancing in the springwinds, sometimes i ride a fast stream but then the wind picks me up again, showing me all the wonders of spring. There is so much passion and creativity in this version one cannot help feeling happy and renewed, like a newly sprung leaf in the spring breeze. Take care nBison69.

wow, you express yourself so poetically, a true sign that you feel very passionate about the music of Vivaldi. I am not as sophisticated as you are when it comes to these things; I am nowhere near the point where I can distinguish between one musician's performance of a particular piece from another. what i do know is that i find 18th century instrumental Baroque/classical music to be the greatest music ever written, from Vivaldi to Telemann to Handel to Bach to Haydn to Mozart
