You seem nice, but why advocate that a man should divorce his wife for standing up to him? What if he deserved it? What if he was dead wrong? What if his wife is smarter? Better at orgainizing and making decisions? What if he's worse at managing money and she needs to get the finances in order for the family? What if she is protecting the future for them both? Why does she have no right to object to her husband, no matter who is right?

What if he is making a decision that could adversely affect the kids (change schools, bring junk food into the house, be too strict, be too lenient, put them in dangerous situation like an all-terrain vehicle? be overly protective and not let them develop?) What if he treated her badly and she is refusing cooperation becasue she needs a break?

There is no "light beating" in the true translation. That was added in the 1980's as Islam started to be a focus of world attention due to Islamic terrorism. Also the translation of Islam went from "submission" to "peace" and the word Muslim went from "slave of God" (root word Musli, Bedouine for 'slave') to "servant of God". Try telling the truth.

Only maybe that the Islamic male population sure has a lot of growing up to do if seeing a womans hair puts them beyond all sexual selfcontrol. I grew out of feeling towards women when I was about twelve.

The thing about S&M is that both parties have to agree, so from what youre saying here it seem to fit beautifully on Islamic dometic relationship. If the woman do not agree, which I suspect very often is the case, it i simply defined as violence and cannot be denounced enough.

Dont care what any old texts has to say about it, I use my innate morals and ethics to prohibit me from such primitive behaviour.
