Vercingétorix (72 a.C.

  • In Hispania (Spain) there were an uprising of Celts and Celtiberians against the romans too, specially in the north

  • Really? Thanks -

  • Portuguese subtitles!

  • French film; Spanish subtitles. Grateful to the makers of the film for dressing their hero of the title role like a Celtic chieftain:

long hair, plaid cloak, brooch, and gold torc, symbol of authority, around his neck. Actor even resembles the Roman

    statue of Vercingetorix.

  • GAIUS JULIUS CEASAR!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Indeed, they dont did that in the series Rome. I was really disappointed by this part of "Rom" series.

Anyway, never Vercingetorix was humiliated like in "Rome" series... Aswell as any continental chieftain (like Commios, Ambiorix and Boduognat for the Belgian by example)

  • Glad to see they dressed Vercingetorix like a Celtic prince in this film: that's what he was. A Celt from Gaul, or modern day France. He led one of a few Celtic uprisings against the Romans. He wears the brooch, gold torque and plaid cloak that were part of Celtic dress.
