** Unfortunately our 'friends' at WEA flagged my video for copyright issues due to the music playing in the back. Fortunately, YouTube has some stock music, including The Plain White T's, who voluntarily will allow you to use. So, the audio has been changed from what was orignally here.
Following is recording from my dorm at Illinois State University in Normal, IL on September 17, 1992.
The ISU Residential Life TV channel was provided to students as a method to communicate information. I am sure that ISU still does something like this, but the programs used are today are probably much more advanced than this.
I'm not sure exactly why I taped this, although I have always been interested in archiving these text based channels.
I will continue to post more of this sort of stuff as I come across it.

Manchester is awesome. We may not have a dining center anymore, but wifi and automatic flush toilets make up for it. :]

lol it hasnt progressed very far. its just powerpoint slideshows now; equally boring.

Too much going on in Watterson. I spent two years in Wilkins (88-90) and the walk was brutal. The final two years in Whitten (90-92) rocked!

Im currently in college, and also in a dorm. I believe my college used to have a channel like this as until a few weeks ago, there was a 3 year old Student Convocation message on channel 80. It was like that the first two years I been to my college, and then last week they finally removed channel 80.

Watterson Towers are really cool. There are many elevators and stairways to get to where you need to go. It's like a maze. I lived in Manchester Hall during my time at ISU.

wow. I used to know Brian Struve, who is mentioned here. Thing is, I don't know his email... he'd get a kick out of it for certain. I was an ISU student in '92... takes me back...

I graduated in 1996, so 1992 was my first year there. I lived at 509 Fell my junior year. I should post some keg party videos - I've got plenty of them.
