The race to replace Steve Levy as Suffolk County Executive has begun in earnest, as Babylon Town Supervisor Steve Bellone and Suffolk County Treasurer Angie Carpenter vie to win the position. Many Suffolk County residents say they are still undecided about the race, and want to hear more from the candidates on issues like taxes and the economy. Both candidates say they want to make it easier for businesses to stay and create jobs in Suffolk County, but residents want to hear more about issues like property taxes that the county currently faces.
We tax payers ask for justice from the justice department! Can our District Attorney investigate the economic dealings of our town officials and prosecute when illegal actions require it? Elected officials get away with anything they please when there are no consequences from their actions. Has Steve Bellone benefited from his official office above and beyond his ordinary pay? How about his cronies on the Board? Does he get kickbacks?

Bellone was forced to return money to the residents and call it a tax cut?
Bellone and his board raised his town taxes up 36% over two years? Go and google "Bablyon Town Board Covers-Up 36% Tax Increase"
and then make an educated decision!
