I love my sv!

It's not ideal, but it's better than a 600CC super sport by far. However, it will be more intimidating to ride than a 250 like an EX250/250R for a beginner. It's certainly not impossible, however.

@MrKinghuman He's in Silver Spring, md right outside of dc

Would you consider this to be capable as a beginner bike?

im trying to figure out whether ur in long island or new jersey, the cross street in the beginning looks familiar

Nice video! Great camera quality and talk along. I am looking at getting a sv early next year and am looking at 05 up makes. Better insurance etc. Thanks for the insight, and happy safe riding! :)

@Bakad05 AVOID the 2003 SV650 ... it was the first year of the 'pointy version' ...
get yourself a 2004-2011 bike ... you may find it hard to find parts for an '03 because it is unique to the 2004-11.
Hey man, I've been considering getting an SV650"S" model like yours. Question...how is the bike for long distance rides? Meaning 2hrs or more?

@RB5566
It's a comfortable and stable ride, even during lengthy rides. I tend to take short rides, but on occasion have ridden for extended periods of time and have been pleased with the feel and performance of the bike.

What kind of camera are you using please??

@Sm0kedXyourXmum, the camera is a Kodak V570. One of my first videos shows the helmet-camera unit.

@mevd That is very clever. Would your setup be compatible with most full faced helmets? Or do you pretty much need a gap in front of your chin?
Sm0kedXyourXmum 3 months ago
@Sm0kedXyourXmum, This setup requires a bit of space in front of the chin? With other types of helmets you can likely create space by removing some of the padding.
