~Love your family~

Dear whom it may concern,

I notified by email to vrscomments@sorenson.com; FCC.gov; NOAA.gov; FEMA.gov; NAD.org; and ADA.gov about my suggestion of adding new feature installments for deaf residents or deaf business owners enabling them to receive updates for weather warning alerts by adding upgrades in deaf residents and deaf businesses videophone plugs wired with bed vibrator that turns on automatically, as they cannot hear the civil defense siren (Thunderbolt) blasts.

And since, civil defense department announces safety accessibility for the public in relation to F.E.M.A. and N.O.A.A.in their quest to meet their requirements for public safety by law.

The issue is because, the siren horn has been installed on telephone poles in some sections in areas designated for the public mainstream (hearing people) to hear their warning siren within 24 hours and that deaf people who are residents living alone or with a deaf family that cannot hear the siren warning blast for alerts on incoming stormy weather or terrorist attacks.

Also, I would like for us to think about what deaf people need in order to properly receive weather reports and to be able to watch for alerts [color code] which puts the disabled deaf people at a distinct disadvantage effectively taking away our equal rights by not being able to hear what they have reported.

I want to ask for advocate for this situation that affects millions of deaf peoples safety, as their lives in life are as equal the mainstream hearing public (majority) who has their safety issues prioritized too.

I have already notified of this situation two years ago and has not been able to gain access to the people that can help us and would like to request you for make this adjustment effective as of now.

I would like you to be aware of the fact that this is my second time in producing this statement and I would like to ask deaf people to sign a petition that supports getting additional new features installed in all videophones with bed vibrators which give warning for sudden last minute catastrophes, to watch for alert bulletins and to protect the public with safety measures and spare the public by sending messages on where survival kits including food and water with survival manual books too.

Teaching Deaf people to become more aware of weather safety and survival safety by making available kits is very important and crucial to saving innocent hearing impaired people. We would also like to be ready to show on Videophone how deaf residents and deaf business owners can learn by the effectively collective effort in helping deaf people to make them feel safe and we would like to express gratitude for the show of support of disabled deaf people who deserve the added safety regulations which save their lives too.

Sincerely yours,
Ronald Decker

  • I completely agree with you. I have seen many needs by us, deaf people.

I am working on federal grants to set up a service like this.

    A deaf Meteorologist,

    Scott Plummer

  • That's been tried and the reception isnt good. Look at CEPIN failure.

  • Ah I see so can you describe what it was about CEPIN failure? Thanks

  • Have you got any of improve at this point ahead of the future is coming soon and fight for global warming also many of others by the disaster for our safety as equal accessible like hearing people. Thanks for your considerate and your plan on this are very important to us.

  • Wow this is something I never thought about. I want to help now. That must be scary not knowing when bad weather is near. I hope someone can make something to help.

  • Have you heard of anything successful at this point of what you had on your mind and can you help with anything like that? Let me know then I will do something about it as soon as possible and speak up and be heard about it for our constitution rights for public safety code. I appreciated your thought of it and want to be heard of this better for the future to protect our safety.

  • We partnered with a Texas interpreting agency to provide emergency notices using sign language. The pilots went off and we learned that there is minuscule interest in proactive preparation. They just get reactive. So the project was scrapped. As for CERT we're the only authorized CERT warning dispatchers for the southland. And we did our part to warn deaf people living in possible flooding areas that'll result from the polar ice meldown and sea level rising.

  • Ask Go America for donation to make new device for weather warning portable with closed captioned and mobile video phone also included bed vibrator during night time when the disaster show up last minute and we need to know and be prepare for ready to evacuation for shelter fall out to protect our life and save lives too. Figure out how it works and use intellectual to gets it done as well for deaf people their safety alike what hearing people have civil defense siren established since 1950...

  • This is an interesting topic and I have an even more interesting response. We applied for homeland security grants for setting up the framework for emergency notification programs to be replicated nationwide. Well TDI got millions of dollars and 4 years later they still havent developed anything useable other than a CEPIN lecture circuit that does nothing but lecture at deaf organizations. We just got some homeland security money to get some of our staff licensed as HAM operators.

  • This is a perfect time for a deaf advocate to bring the issue up. Due to global warming storms will arise to proportions never seen before. More than ever do we need an adequate civil defense siren system that also warns the deaf, not just the hearing. The more people rally behind this advocate, the more gets done, and a great response by Scott Plummer, a deaf meteorologist, who can help provide solution by working on federal grants.

  • Yes that is good and let me know how is processing with this case and I have made contacts with all of these information and order equipments to make new type of weather warning portable included bed vibrator and videophone also closed captioned and add lithium battery good for last 7 days or 6 months depends quality and performance too. God bless you and we are currently competitive on this project to make the best and high technology for deaf people's satisfactory of their quality.
