  • @myheadface i'm 16 i have it too. But often times, if some1 tells us we hav something, we believe it and defend it to the death. meds arent the only solution don't blame all your issues on something some1 else told u. In fact, the precursor to adhd was created in order to sell ritalin. You can do something if you tell urself u can. I'm at one of the hardest prep schools in the world and am up until 5am everyday doing work just to get average grades. meds can benefit u but trust in urself as well

  • I'm 36 & I've been diagnosed with ADHD. I procrastinate everything, can't hold a conversation with out constantly interrupting or feeling like I'm going to jump out of my skin when I'm trying to listen, can't talk on the phone... only can text, can't even sit through a TV show. My life is ruined due to this... lost my wife, late on bills, loosing my job. I really need help but is it worth the price of taking this medication... as I hear it can be very addictive and the side effects are bad.

  • @AbuZamaan

You should probably get off of the other drug. Seek counseling for it.

And you should tell your doctor. Look, it's either that or seizures. Your choice.

  • @ORUPRANKSTAZ well actually I did visit a doctor and was diagnosed with a severe ADD where I had every single symptom of ADHD except for hyperactivity, and I was prescribed with concerta ... but didn't tell the doc that I am addicted to another drug that would interact with concerta and highly reduce seizure threshold ... I don't know what to do!

  • @AbuZamaan

Ask your doctor about Strattera. It's a non-stimulant option. You can also try Vyvanse. Vyvanse is a variant of adderall, but is supposed to be much better.

  • @sandbar3000

This is not something you "get." You either have it, or you don't.

  • do I have to go america?

  • @AWinterDemise LOLOLOLOL omg, you're kidding, right? when i meditate, there are only two optmplions: either i simply cannot get into it or else i get into it and the next thing i know someone's slapping my face because i've beened zoned out for over an hour.

  • @AWinterDemise Sadly ADHD does not work that way. We feel like our minds are channel surfing, switching from one subject to the next, we can not stay focused for very long either because we get bored easily or we do not understand what you are saying or it is because we have already figured what you are trying to tell us and then we move on. No offense but those that do not understand can what they want but for us it is easier said then done. No pun intended. ; )

  • I have ADHD and I am currently wasting my time on youtube in the middle of a very high paying project ... and while I am aware of the consequences I cant force myself to get back to work ... this sucks

I tried everything to build some motivation but no luck, I NEED A DOCTOR!!

P.S. It took me 10 minutes to write this stupid comment!
