Paths of Rebellion: New York in the Revolution
This series, produced in 1975-76 for the Bicentennial celebration by WNET/13, concentrates on the Revolutionary War as it played out in New York. This episode deals with the plight of the "Loyalists" who sided with the Great Britain in the war, and wound up having to leave their homes behind them forever. It includes interviews with descendants of Loyalist soldiers, who tell their ancestors' side of the story.
Apologies for the poor quality of these clips, but as you can see, they are darned old. The beginning of this episode is missing.
