A new exposé in Vanity Fair by British attorney Philippe Sands reveals new details about how attorney John Yoo and other high-ranking administration lawyers helped design and implement the interrogation policies seen at Guantanamo, Abu Ghraib and secret CIA prisons. According to Vanity Fair, then-White House counsel Alberto Gonzales and other top officials personally visited Guantanamo in 2002, discussed interrogation techniques and witnessed interrogations. I just read the article in Vanity Fair; it is a good read. Hopefully it will be widely read. Sands documents disgraceful actions by people who should and do no better. Then these people got nervous and tried to cover their tracks and even passed legislation to give themselves legal immunity from their crimes. He speculates that one day one of this team might go on a foreign holiday and get dragged off to the Hague to face a war crimes trial ... one can only hope.

Sorry that this disappoints the much sought after adrenaline rush of a smoking gun, but this is actually informative and we should all be thankful that more than one person is actually connecting the dots, since we have 3,000 well-paid lawyers and pseudo-historians who will be unconnecting those dots for the next 20 years. We are in the middle of a history war and we better start fighting it. My point is that this program and Sands book is a much needed addition to the truth-telling.

This is really nothing new. Watch "Frontline's" Expose, "Cheney's Law". It's pretty telling as to how they (DOJ & John Yoo) twisted & turned the law to the advantage of the Bush Administration. They should be prosecuted! Please... People of the world, you need to file charges. We, Americans, will be glad to give them up! Addington, Alberto Gonzales (former Attn Gen) also are responsible. They should all be held accountable! Bush, Cheney, Addington, Yoo, etc.!
