1969 1972 1973 1978 Irina Rodnina USSR (Ulanov/Zaitsev)

Can you ever get enough Irina Rodnina? I think not! Here is a good slice of the "silent" 1973 Worlds LP at Bratislava, plus some earlier and later footage.

Ulanov is teaching in the United States. I'm not sure what Rodnina is up to these days......? She did teach Tiffany and Johnny Steigler for a while.

I just finished watching the short program from Vancouver's 2010 Winter Olympics, and I was struck with nostalgia for Irina Rodnina. I had to run over to the computer to see if there were any videos of those years, and I was pleasantly surprised to find these. Thank you for posting them.

I remember the "silent" WC performance like it was yesterday.  It was so awesome to watch them carry on like nothing had happened! Does anyone have the whole thing?
