Nope, I didn't bid on anything. I've always wanted to, but you see those prices. The most I've paid for a model at BreyerFest was $300.
The auctioneer is saying mostly gibberish with current dollar amounts and the next dollar amount he's looking for thrown in. It's to keep the momentum and adrenaline of the bidders going.

Which reminds me, there was just a Breyer longhorn on eBay that sold for $9,500!!!!
It was rare, from the 60's, and blue.....but still!!!
I'll just have to wait till I find rare Breyers at garage sales for $5
