@Slyy80 Yeah, depends on what Mac you're using. Personally I have the audio it and out in the same physical port which kind of sucks! I guess I could use USB headphones, or get a USB adapter, but it would be simpler if it had the in/out ports! (Think it's only the MBA and 13" MBP that lack the two separate I/O)

It's surprising how many artists these days use modelled amps and not mic'd up real amps.
having a mic on the amp is always going to be the best (if you have the right room and what not) However, this type of thing is GREAT for recording ideas or little demo tracks.
And If you know what you're doing, you can make them sound really great.

@Kingddd333 Or you could just use your own pedals.

@MrTripert I know there is a way to do it it should have a input plug.

@acanham30 how do i fucking do tht with a roland cube its a fuckin pain man

That may be true but when you mic your amp up depending on the room it may sound very empty or distant. My band and I professionally recorded an ep and everything but the guitars sounded okay. and this was a studio with pro equipment. I think this is a very simple way to record a guitar. but in the case of the amps just plug your amp directly into the input, it sounds pretty damn good.

Okay, so I'm having a problem. When I record my guitar on garabeband(I'm using my own amp), it sounds really loud at first, then the sound dies down a few seconds in. Anyone know how I can fix this? I'm new to recording, so forgive me if this is an obvious question.
