UPDATE: Chinatown Fair indeed closed that the following Friday, but Henry Cen is already making moves to start a new arcade in a different location.

Players enjoy what could be one of the last nights of their favorite arcade, Chinatown Fair in New York City. As of this recording, the fate of the arcade is unclear-- but no one can deny the affect it had over its years of operation.

Backbeat produced by David-Paul "Automattock" Mattock, aka Jibbo

  • I am 27, and I been going to CF for over 18 years, since my parents used to take me here to play tic tac toe with the chicken. I will tell you, this is the place for youth in so many different types of communities, as well as adults. If you were a gamer, a goth, a hoodlum, a punk, a nerd, a geek, you would always have a friend here, no matter what type of person you were. This place was more powerful in the aspect that it brought people together, regardless of their differences.

  • West coast arcade kingdom Arcade Infinity. East coast arcade kingdom Chinatown Fair. BOTH are closing down... wtf is goin on?
