  • Wouldn't it be possible to just resurface the mirrors of the telescopes? I can't believe that after 30 years the polishing technology has not improved. After that if the EVLA can is capable of being used at millimetric wavelengths it could even be used in interferometry with ALMA. The base would be about 8000 km.
