Here's me playing around with some friends. This was a 550 that didn't touch. I had already done 2-board presses up to 635.

  • cool, you should be able to get at least 350-405lbs "touch" without the shirt, I hope you dont always use the shirt, it can bite you in the ass in the long run, keep doing raw bench as well as shirted. it will really help you progress, I also like doing 1/5 isometric reps( eg, doing bench on a squat rack and having safty bars 5 inches or so above the bar pressing and holding the bar against the safty bars for 5 sets of 5 seconds), it really helps strengthin the weak point. good job, take care.

  • Really? Thanks, sherlock. If you read the video description and listen to what I said after the bench, you would realize that I was playing around and knew that the weight wasn't going to touch. Check out some of my other videos and see a 570 and a 620 that do touch my chest, pause for a second, and then shoot back out to lockout!

    idk much about those shirts, but i dont think so. shirts dont have magicaal powers...unless a mythical creature curses it lol

  • MRSNHVR...you are not suppose to touch your chest because that can tear up your shoulders.once his elbows reach shoulder level you are NOT suppose to go down anymore. people like you saying this are the ones that will cause yourself and others to fuck up your shoulders. shoulders are not meant to carry loads like that especially in that position. take this advice from me. i have much experience and education with training.

  • eh... pretty good i guess... back in my freshman year i was doing over double my bodyweight... weighed about 150 and could knock out 345 raw, keep it up i suppose.
