unionist scots piss me off, if scotland get a referendum on independence next year, and majority dont vote yes, its a fuckin disgrace, england has a history of fucking with the scots, and all that aside, why not want your country to be independent ? n why have it in a union with a country that is by far absolute wankers to us
even if u disagree with that, why not want your country to be independent, Wallace is the man n a hope we get independence for him

Its such a shame that it appears he died for nothing as no-one is doing anything for independence now! I am nationalist through and through and would love nothing more than my country to be free but dont vote SNP as they want to share the monarch. Would Wallace have settled for that? NO CHANCE! SNLA!!

William Wallace had another enemy to deal with. His own people! The Nobles! They were governed by greed and power over their own people. Scotland reminds me of the ancient Greeks. When they were city states they were divided and weak. When they united under Alexander the Great, they became both mighty and free. Scotland, you have your Alexander. William Wallace! Gather under his wing and be free! live free! long live the memory of the great patriot William Wallace !!!!

William Wallace touched me so deep that I went on a journey to both England and Scotland to explore the real history of the real truth of William Wallace. I will say this now. The movie Braveheart is not a great example of historical truth. There were parts the did ring true in the movie, but for the most part, the story was bent. What the movie did bring out was the fact that Sir William Wallace was fearless and a force that Kind Edward 1 found difficult to deal with. See last posting.

I am, and live in America. Yet after seeing the movie "Braveheart", I was moved. I, as the rest of my country-men, suffered under the English yoke in the last part of the 18th century and the early part of the 19th century. Unknown to most Scottish people, William Wallace is a great hero to us also. His love of country, his love of his people, and his fight for freedom, burns in the torch of liberty and freedom! See next post.

@Rfc1Darryl Nice 1 m8, I was brought up a protestant, but ashamed of it now and hate the union and am an active SNP member. Always been a nationalis, but never knew what the union was really all about till I moved away from Scotland to Holland and then missed it in Scotland, (no hills) lol. ALBA GU BRATH, SAOR ALBA!!!
Great song!
No disrespect to Jim McLean who is a great Scottish composer and singer, but the singer in this recording is my good friend Alistair McDonald.
Thanks for sharing.
