@SuperSajayin2Gohan that's the Crystal Flash move.  A "secret" move that lets you restore your energy. Nintendo published it in their player's guide. Doing the move will drain 10 missles, 10, super missles, and 10 power bombs (plus the 1 used to do the move). Since the move drians those items as well as MB's eye beam, the game logic glitches your inventory count, as well as gives you a super jump for some reason. I found this out on my own on the original SNES cartridge.

I thought you were supposed to use the reset glitch to stock up on Power Boms and then perform thyae stand up glitch and drop a Power Bomb during the Mother Brain's final attack (before the Metroid comes).

brain in the brain with speed boost

it would instantly kill mother brain

Most TAS's skip Mother Brain entirely, and it doesn't exactly have any speed enhancing uses.
