@followerofbasho, it's all about nit picking, and to see who made the least flaws:

Round 1- I would have chopped Chris!

Round 2- Ronaldo!

Round 3- Danise!

Winner- Miguel!

Sometimes I think "destiny" is overrated, but it worked for Chef Miguel Aguilar, and I hope that little fortune cookie guides him to becoming a great Master Chef.

Round 3 (before the judges decide) In this round a decision is made for the course and then adding up the plus and minuses from previous courses. I give Denise the desert course. Miguel's cake was under done, a bad decision time wise, and the pretzel was under utilized. In general though Denise lacks in the creativity department not only what she chooses to make, but also in presentation. Technically Denise should win. But I pick Miguel, despite his flaws, I would rather eat his dishes,

Round 2 ( my opinion before the judges decide) Denise should be safe - though her presentation was the worst, and she was less creative. Both Miguel and Ronaldo's dishes had major problems- Miguel's fish was overcooked; Ronaldo probably cooked the fish the best- yet he failed on the other two ingredients.In a real world restaurant situation you would not plate an obviously burned component of a dish.( Its interesting that you only see Miguel tasting as he cooks). I would chop Ronaldo

Round One ( my opinion before the judges decide): Miguel and Denise should be safe- both with edible dishes. Both Chris and Ronaldo's dishes are failures. Chris fails because of taste- the sliminess factor. Ronaldo fails on technique. I would chop Ronaldo for the simple fact that the clams were not cooked through.
