Dismal auto sales and all-time stock lows may obliterate the Big Three. So the automobile lobby is back on Capitol Hill warming up to some of their best friends - Democrats - to secure $25 billion in loans. The question is: what will the money be used for and will there be strings attached to make better, greener cars.

  • You were taking it seriously? Of course it's a joke. In 10 years US cars will be as efficient as Chinese cars are today. What's the excuse for US cars not to be efficient? Ah yes, the greed of the oil companies.

  • US industries were warned ten years ago their practices were unsustainable but they didn't listen and they didn't care because their executives were getting their bonusses and getting richer and richer. Exxon made 40 billion dollars last year and yet still receives subsidy to remain 'competitive'. It's stupidity like this that is driving the US to extinction and the sooner the better.

  • Watch the video again. Then watch it again and keep watching it until it's sunken in that many Democrats have shares in the big useless three and that they want you, the tax paying fools, to save their stocks. They probably don't even care about the companies going bankrupt as long as the stock prices go up so they can sell theirs. They all deserve to be hung up for treason, together with every single 'legislator' who has supported these moronic fools.

  • why is it the democrats fault?? run that by me one more time?

  • Here, I got an article for ya:

==if the factories do close here in the US, another company will come in and many of the workers will have jobs under new management and for different companies. THE infrastructure will not just rust away==

    How you figure? Notice manufacturing

==no bailouts let them fail. It will be better for the economy in the long run==

Is it better for the US economy if all the manufacturing jobs go to China/Japan, further increasing the US trade imbalance?

  • I am so sick of the bailouts. shouldn't we be able to vote on it. it's our money.
