Testing the Amega Wand. Frodo was a very healthy and active cat when he came to live with us in 2007, but about a year ago he develped a rash and some hair loss in his abdominal area. He was put on antibiotics which didn't really help. The vet also prescribed intestinal flora at my request to help replace the good bacteria. The rash and hair loss continued so it was determined he might be alergic to fleas. He has had flea treatment using a natural, non chemical source but it hasn't made much difference.
Next Frodo came home on evening with a chunk missing from his left ear due to some unknown encounter with an unknown beast. Got rabies shot and antibiotic. All healed but then he came home with another wound on his right cheek which became infected so off for another round of treatment. Next he had dental work done so went thru the anesthesia 2 weeks after treatment of his wound. Yesterday while wanding him I noticed a little missing patch of fur which seemed to hurt when I touched it so I applied Tamanu oil which has antibiotic properties since we can't afford another round of vet treatments just yet. But then I noticed another wound just under his ear on the cheek. It had already hardened and seemed like it would heal okay. Keeping an eye on it. So now I am left with the wonderment as to what sort of events are happening to him when he's away. We just learned he is 8 years old while we thought he was 5.
To sum this all up, I am convinced we should leave animals alone in nature where they belong and not make them dependent on us. We do all sorts of crazy things with our pets that create artifical environments and make lots of profits for the pet industry. It's too bad, it didn't used to be that way.
Thank you for posting this. Its so nice to see Frodo and Jon.
