I'm working on a much better turbo project right now for the same guy, Turbonetics T37, piping was from a PFI kit but I had to get a 'lil custom with the feed pipe because it hit the 6-speed starter. It's an '02 6-speed 3.5 that we swapped 4th gen manifold on in order to use the PFI's feed piping, it's quite nice and the snail sits right were it should- where the battery used to be before I put it in the trunk :)
Good video. What is the name of the adaptor or flange that connects to the pipe that connect to the podfilter (air filter). It got me quite confused how you connected the pod filter straight into the turbo, it won't work in my case unless i have that adaptor. people call it air intake adaptor. Please help
Ahhh crap, I can't remember exactly what I did, I really can't remember ANY details now, but I know I peiced all of that stuff together through Autozone & home depot, lol.
wow... what kit was that? Never heard of turbo specalities kit... ebay deal or something? lol What other mods were included on motor? That's a vq30 right? Do you have any more space with the 35 swap? How much for a good kit..? 3-5k?
allthough 3.5 swaps are easy to work on with more space, as well as manual tranny's, in this case all of the clearance issues basically came down to the radiator fans, crossmember/mounts, and other stuff that is the same between all 95-03 regardless of gen or tranny.
He spent around $4k after all was said and done. If I could go back in time I would have just made my own forward Y-pipe for him and used a holset HX35 or HE351VGT
