@enest94 Wikepedia - look up "shred guitar". It gives a pretty comprehensive description of this term. Generally, it's a definition applied to Metal guitar. Ostentation is generally not something typical in less flamboyant forms of music, so the term is out of place for jazz or classical music where technique is generally a given.
imho.
Thanks.

@kriuk2cs This is very embarrassing to ask, but what is shredding? Can you give me the time in the video when he does it?

I know the Beatles version of this is on a bootleg album of their Decca audition from January 1962.

django's music is THE soundtrack to western hemisphere culture from his era and timeless all at once..listen to him while watching silent footage of life in 1950 or so and it just does it..from a technical standpoint...just ask any serious guitarist about the importance of this 2 fingered wizard.
The Beatles (of all people) recorded this song in 1962, I'm serious! Look it up.

@doctorcastille They did, and so did a stack of other people - very popular song. Jack Teagarden did a good version too.
