@AmyMichelleJonas Actually, they're horrible role models and their promotion of "purity" is harmful. Abstinence-only sexual education, pushed by sex-negative and repressive Christian values, does not work. The result is that children taught abstinence-only sexual education (and I use the "education" word lightly) start having sex a couple months later than children who receive comprehensive sexual educations, but they have no idea how to protect themselves when they invariably start.
