i had to get rid of mine it kept biting chunks off my other fishes fins will the fins grow back please tell me someone.

just got mine like 1 week ago, he hasnt eating a thing yet.. can't get him to take the minnows at night?? i did not add salt to my water because the Pet Store said they didnt add any salt to their tanks.. and im positive he hasnt eating anything yet because all the fish in the tank are there and the 3 minnows i put in are still there too, any ideas??

Mine goes nuts for uncooked shrimp from the grocery store. (Cut up in small enough pieces that he won't choke)

Your eel has max. 1 month to live without any salt in the tank. Min. 1 teaspoon per gallon, a bit more would be better. The second food hits the water, my eel comes out of hiding and devours everything. He has eaten an albino cory cat, 2 5" plecos, and a blue goby dragon that was the same size as he was. He just eats like a pig. I once put 8 good sized feeder goldfish in his tank thinking they'd last a week and slowly disappear, well they were all gone the next morning. Slowly add salt to yours.

Ya man, 1 teaspoon of salt per gallon. Got a GS puffer, green scats, mono. argenteus, flounders, and a blue goby dragon in this tank.
