One of Asia's best routes, and a dream for anyone who's ever been and tried it - Tidal Wave, Ton Sai, Thailand F7b+. No move harder than english 5c/6a, but putting it all together is just... hard. Climber - David Jennions.

  • 7c what is that like 5.12?

  • Indeed - about 12c.

  • Don't listen to the haters. Nice attempt. Did he make it later?

  • Yes, I made it about a month later, but that was after the stalactite used for the rest position 2/3 of the way up had been kicked off, increasing the difficulty dramatically!

  • The climb is called "Tidal Wave"

  • to be honest i thought hang ten(route just to the left) is way better and more fun than tidal wave

  • Nice effort! Good to hear you finally made it! How about a vid of your success?

  • Ah, brings back some wonderful memorys. i climed that rout in 95 and it was my first of the grade. I climbed Hang ten 7c and baby gorilla 7c right after that so i spent 16 days in total "on the wave" :-)

  • ayt mate i'd like to see you try this

  • surfers are gay boys playing with water. rock climbers are tough men with huge balls.
