I love this clip. I really like when it gets on 5:12....When he does the "Native Stomp." (that's what I call it, no disrespect) I love to watch this part....so cool! What a performer. Mark can do it all!! My Mom says hi to all of you guys. She loves you, too!! (and Grand Funk)

Mark Farner's pants left me on the verge of collapse, always expected the outbreak xD

I loves the Funk. Donnie & Mel's GFR was enjoyable, but I dig the quartet with Craig. Great stuff here. I'm not a musician, but Mark's Gibson jazzy guitar on the '75 tour is a fave, but he has a unique taste in guitars that always works for him. His new solo LP is still on my wishlist. Funk on!

Yeah, it's true GFR was more popular than Zep or even CCR at that time, but world wide it was Deep Purple and Black Sabbath who were taking over with Pink Floyd not far behind, and the
Stones still in the top ten as well.

10 minute Power Songs such as this is what made this band famous. Their live shows were second to none!

The New York Daily News' Nationwide Readers' Poll for 1971.
Tens of thousands of votes were cast from every state in the nation. Whe the final score was tallied, Grand Funk Railroad had garnered a whopping 75% of the total vote as "Best Rock Group In The U.S." Left to split up the remaining 25% were: 2 Creedence Clearwater, 3. Jackson Five, 4. Led Zeppelin, 5. Three Dog Night, 6. The Who, 7. Sly, 8. Santana, 9.Chicago, and 10.Ten Years After!

GFRxR was a real people's band. Rejected by critics, GFRxR still became the first band to sell 10 consecutive platinum albums. They broke The Beatles ticket sales record at New York's Shea Stadium in '71. Despite all this success, they remain ignored by The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. Please sign the petition above to induct Mark Farner & GFRxR now!

Now this is good.Theses guys really need each other because they both suck big time in there other copy bands.I know you Farner fans hate to hear that but his band sucks too just like Dons band, its a shame that you tube is flooded with theses half ass video's of Marks band he cant even solo, that free jam terrible guitar 12 yr olds blow him away , but when there all together, there my favorite band.
