In 1995 I got bitten by a banded krait, the serum,,antivenom, has to be given within the first hour after the bite, wich did not happen in my case.It took at least five years to somehow recover, after 1 week in hospital(morphine treatment etc) .The effects of the poison is so severe and far worse than mostly heard of. To survive is not the end of it, as it affects continuesly in it`s neurotoxic charactaristics and hold`s only living misery as an option for a long time, yet I`m fine today, well
@misiuwata ,you could try rubbing the food item on shed skins,or as some one I know did, kept mice in with no rodent eating snakes ,they were successful in their attempt.any kind of force feeding SHOULD ONLY BE USED AS A LAST RESORT!!!
Hello,
Do you know if the Snake-antivenin website of the Red cross is still the cheapest to buy antivenom ?
I have been searching for hours and everywhere else price seem to be higher.
Thank you for your help.

This is one of my favorite venomous snakes. I always did love the black and yellow bands on the Banded Krait.
